GENERATION INTERCONNECTION PROJECTS IN THE UNITED STATES

Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO)
  • Prepared transmission system base case models and generator data
  • Dispatch Study projects and all higher queued projects utilizing MISO Fuel Type Dispatch methodology.
  • Perform power flow analysis to identify thermal constraints that meets MISO constraints criteria.
  • Prepare mitigation plan in coordination with MISO and impacted Transmission Owner. Calculate and provide cost allocation (if any) for the study projects.
  • Perform voltage analysis to identify voltage constraints that meets MISO constraints criteria. Prepare mitigation plan in coordination with MISO and impacted Transmission Owner. Calculate and provide cost allocation (if any) for the study projects.

PJM Interconnection
  • Prepared dynamic models for interconnection projects, and performed generator dynamic impact studies.
  • Involved with more than 200 generator interconnection projects from a variety of generation sources, including natural gas, wind/offshore wind, solar and energy storage projects. The scale of these projects ranged from 20 MW to 1681 MW.
